Hey guys,
We made it to Houston last night after flying in from Tennessee for Thanksgiving. I had my blood work this morning and I was then supposed to have my chemo at 10. It was nearing noon, and they still had or received the results of my blood work. They finally got in and my ANC was .29. Ugh!!! Remember last week it was .86 and it was too low? Well, this week even lower.
The nurse could not get in touch with Dr. Morrow to see what she wanted to do. We are in the main building this week since our normal one is closed for the holidays. Apparently weekends and especially holiday weekends are crazy over here. They still have not talked to Dr. Morrow and they must talk to her before they order chemo. They were able to administer the neupogin shot, but cannot do anything else without Dr. Morrow's approval.
We were planning on heading home to West Monroe today, but now we will just wait here until they hear from Dr. Morrow. They will definitely hear from her on Monday, but we are praying that she calls them back sooner and I can get chemo tomorrow.
I just cried and cried when the nurse told me we couldn't schedule chemo for today or tomorrow. Even a day or a few days, or a week to be off schedule seems like an eternity. The nurse told me I need to rest my body, so we are resting today and tying to enjoy some time together. Please pray that Dr. Morrow calls back soon. We will keep you updated.

We are praying Aly. I cannot imagine your frustration and you have done really well being positive even in the setbacks but sometimes we all just have to cry and then remember God is in control. Try to rest as much as you can while you have this time. Love you and Josh! Angela
Aly, I've had you on my mind today praying for you not knowing all of this was going on. I even went to Josh's Facebook page to see if there was an update bc you were so on my heart. I've never met you but have known Josh and his sweet family for many years. God is amazing how He knows when to place you on peoples hearts to pray.... even strangers. This tells me He is watching over you and at this very moment placing everything in order for your miracle. Your smile warms my heart and Im looking forward to meeting you one day... celebrating your healing of course! :) praying without ceasing....believing with you for your miracles!
love and blessings to you and Josh,
Judy Groll
Love you Aly- so much! I wondered if the holiday would complicate your regular schedule. Turns out it did. So sorry. Sweetie I am going to pray for joy. Joy that makes no sense.. Joy that bubbles up and causes a little butterfly in your tummy. Because the joy of God is not lightweight. It's mighty!
Believing with you that Dr. Morrow will call first thing in the morning!! You are entitled to cry if you want to!! However, I am believing with Brenda that you will have joy!!! Look at the Miracle we have received this week in Patti's life! Our God is full of those and yours is on the way!!!
Thank you and Josh so much for coming to the hospital to visit us! Love you both and have so much respect and admiration for both of you!!

I have to agree with Brenda. Joy that makes no sense! Yes Lord, yes Lord, yes, yes Lord! We love you both.
Joy unspeakable! I am in agreement with Brenda and the others for joy that bubbles up and makes no sense!! I am praying for Dr. Marrow to be in contact with the nurses. God's timing is not ours and I trust that He has a reason for everything taking place. God is still in control and I know that He works everything out for the good...
